THE RIGHT SEASON TO BLOOM
Long before Hive & Co. had a name, a logo, or a class schedule, it started in a childhood bedroom with a small decorative tree.
At eight years old, the owner of Hive & Co.was already rearranging. The ornaments changed with the seasons, the ribbons were swapped out, and the tree was styled and restyled simply for the joy of it. It was not about perfection. It was about process. About seeing something ordinary and asking, what else could this be? That instinct never left. Over the years, creativity showed up in quiet, consistent ways.
Decorating spaces. Rearranging furniture. Styling tables. Playing with texture, color, and balance. Always drawn to natural elements, organic shapes, and pieces that felt lived in rather than overly polished. Flowers became part of that language. Not formal or fussy arrangements, but loose, flowing designs that felt like they could have grown that way. Hive & Co. grew from that same instinct.
Not from a business plan first, but from a long-held dream that kept resurfacing. The kind that waits patiently while life fills in around it. A dream built slowly, through hands-on learning, trial and error, and a willingness to trust intuition over rigid rules.
As a self-taught floral designer, she leaned into what felt natural rather than what was traditionally taught. Letting stems move. Letting arrangements breathe. Choosing florals that felt seasonal, textural, and honest. The goal was never to make something perfect, but to make something that felt good.
That philosophy carries into everything Hive & Co. offers. Classes are designed to feel approachable, not intimidating. Events focus on connection rather than performance. Creativity is treated as something everyone already has, not something reserved for experts. People come as they are and leave with something made by their own hands.
At its core, Hive & Co. is the result of paying attention to a lifelong pattern. A love of arranging. A pull toward beauty found in natural forms. A desire to create spaces and moments that feel thoughtful and warm. What started with a little tree in a bedroom has grown into a business rooted in intention, creativity, and community.
Hive & Co. is not a sudden idea. It is a dream that took its time. And it finally found the right season to bloom.
